Hi,

I was wondering if there was an way to convert all word placeholder into bibtex.

I have a document that is already published in word and I would like to convert it to LaTeX and hoped that there was an easy way to make that change to the citations as well.

Hi, Aly

Please find attached a customised Citavi Citation Style, that will format all references in your Word document as a LaTeX cite command, i.e. for example \cite[23-49]{Smith.1999} with the page range in square brackets and the BibTeX key of the reference in curly brackets.

Please save the attached file to your custom citation style folder, usually Documents\Citavi 6\Custom Citation Styles and restart Citavi. Afterwards you can select the style as usual in Word.

There are several tools around converting Word documents to LaTeX, in our experience all of those work only to a certain extent and the LaTeX document will require at least some manual correction. In order for these tools to work correctly, you should first convert the Citavi fields into regular static text.

Hi Sebastian,

does this workaround work also for Citavi 6? I tried it but it does not seem so.

Hi, Marco

This citation style was created for Citavi 6. Did you choose it in Word?

This should lead to the desired result.
