Updating without being administrator

Hi,

I have unfortunately no administrative rights on my PC. With Citavi 5, I could just walk to our IT help desk and have them do the installation as administrator. With Citavi 6 , I currently try to update, but even if the help desk person starts C6 as admin, downloads the file and clicks on install, I am still seeing an "Install update" sign in C6. What should I do precisely to update?

Hello Stephanie

Please send us the installation log file so that we can better determine the source of the error. You can find it here:


C:\ProgramData\Swiss Academic Software\Citavi6SetupLog_6.x.x.x.txt


If you see more than one file that begins with "Citavi6SetupLog", please send us the one with the most recent date.

Updating from 6.2 to 6.3 was no problem and did not require a new installation. Just in case anyone else stumbles across this!
