Unable to use Macro COT008_Convert_output_to_lower_case

Hi there,

Recently I stumbled upon the Citavi Macro COT008 which fitted my need. However, I failed to run the Macro by following the official instruction. The compiling process seemed successful because nothing showed up in the Output and Error list. But I got an error pop-up said 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' when I clicked the 'Run'. This error was also recorded in the Output as:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at SwissAcademic.Citavi.Shell.Controls.Editors.MacroEditorControl.<RunAsync>d__45.MoveNext()

I have no idea what happened and what to do next. I hope there could be a fix for this.

I list the support information below,

CITAVI

Citavi Build Number: 6.4.0.35

Citavi Licence: Free

DEFAULT WORD PROCESSOR

Default Word Processor: TeXstudio

Word Version: 16.0.12527.20242

Hi, Yujun

COT008 is not a Citavi macro but a programmed component for Citavi citation styles. It can't be run from the macro editor but needs to be inserted into a citation style.

Please note that Citavi citation styles do not affect how LaTeX/bibtex handle your citations, see https://www1.citavi.com/sub/manual6/en/index.html?bibtex_styles.html

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you so much for your quick reply! Real life-saver! I can now avoid a huge amount of time wasted in manually modifying the titles.

Have a nice day.

Best,
