Unable to resize the window of both Citavi and the fullscreen pop-up to a certain degree

Hi,

Citavi is undeniably a very useful academic tool I have ever used! Thanks!

I was unable to resize the window of both Citavi and the fullscreen pop-up and the degree to which the window could be resized is contingent on the resolution. On my laptop with the resolution fixed at 1366 x 768, the window can be resize to roughly 2/3 of the whole screen at most, whereas on the extra monitor connected to my laptop with 1920 x 1080, the window could be resized to nearly 1/2 of the screen at most (see attached).

Personally, I would argue that not being able to freely resize the window of a particular software is a rare and probably unuseful feature nowadays regarding the boost of working efficiency. It has been really frustrating and annoying to me especially when I was trying to compare multiple articles or to read and program simultaneously by splitting the window/display area into two parts and adjust the sizes for convenience if needed so that different software could fit in well. Unfortunately, this issue is existing in both Citavi 5 and 6. Actually, I have reported this issue to the older version of Citavi forum when I was using Citavi 5 hoping it could draw some attention. But it seems that no progress has been made since then. I do not know how many people have the similar experience as I do, hoping engineer from Citavi team could squeeze in a fix in the future.

Have a great day!

Dear Yujun,

Thank you for coming back to the issue.

I understand your critique of the minimum window width.

However, this is a feature of Citavi that we cannot easily change.

We are already working on a web version of Citavi that will be easier to resize.

In the first half of 2019 we will launch the beta testing phase for Citavi Web, as long as there are no unforeseen delays.

If you are interested in participating in the beta test, you can register for our newsletter at http://www.citavi.com/startwebbeta

Kind regards

Jana

Thank you Jana for the quick reply. Thought I have no idea how hard it will be to fix this issue, I appreciate your response. Web version of Citavi sounds interesting. I will take a look at it when I am free. Thanks!
