New Reference Type
Answered
Hi,
I know that in the earlier versions of Citavi, it was not possible to add a new reference type. I was wondering if that is possible now or if there is a way around it.
Mainly, i am maintaining a database of my publications which includes Posters and Abstracts. (Both of which are not in the reference type).
No, that is still not possible. You could create them as 'Presentations' (that should have the proper data fields necessary), and then abuse the note field for each reference to write 'abstract' or 'poster', and then, if necessary, distinguish the citation style based on the content of the note field. The latter is slightly more advanced, as it requires a custom-programmed condition for the citation style templates.
