missing fields in a citation dot at the end and not comma

Dear all,

I have some incomplete citations, for instance, without a report number. In that case I get a comma at the end of the citation and not a dot. How can I change it?

For instance:

United States Department of Agriculture, 'Cooperatives In the Dairy Industry', United States Department of Agriculture, United States,

Hello Augustina

When defining punctuation, work from the back, see https://www1.citavi.com/sub/manual6/en/index.html?cse_punctuation.html

Suppose your style guide requires:

United States Department of Agriculture, 'Cooperatives In the Dairy Industry', United States Department of Agriculture, United States,

This should be read as: Comma and space before United States Department of Agriculture, United States,

Do not enter the Comma in the field "Punctuation after".

Kind regards,

Peter

Hi Peter, I get your point but it doesn't quite solve my problem. Let me be more specific, I have a journal that has no page range, therefore the citation looks like this:

Cook, M., 2018, A Life Cycle Explanation of CooperativeLongevity, Sustainability, 10,

While a full citation looks like this, which is perfect:

Crespi, J.M., Saitone,T.L. and Sexton, R.J., 2012,Competition in U.S. Farm Product Markets, AppliedEconomic Perspectives and Policy, 34, 669–695.

Therefore, my question is, when I have missing field, how can I change the comma for a period, without affecting other citations with the same reference type.

Please find attached a new version of your style:

  • replaced every (!) "Punctuation after" by "Punctuation before"
  • replaced any text in the field "Punctuation before" by text elements
  • changed sort order in the bibliography

Peter
