Is Internet Explorer required?

I have uninstalled Internet Explorer because of security concerns. Now, when I try to open the full text of an article in the preview area (in PubMed), nothing happens. It used to open in Internet Explorer, despite Edge being my default web browser in Windows. This appears to be hard-coded. Could we have the options to open in the Windows default browser?

Hi David

Citavi uses the standard Windows HTML viewer component, which in fact is still a subset of the Internet Explorer. Without the Internet Explorer libraries available, Citavi won't be able to render HTML content in its preview pane. We're looking into changing this behaviour.

Best regards

Sebastian

I think that Internet Explorer is still the default browser. However, it does not work now for many web pages or apperarence is horrible. Also, when converting to PDF, it maintains the horrible appearence. Could you please inform me when the default browser will be updated, for instance to Edge or Chrome? Best wishes, Juan Carlos
