How to write the Initials before last name?

Deborah S. shared this question 2 years ago

I am using DGPs Guidelines (4th Edition). There it says that I have to write the initials in front of the last name if the authors have the same last names.

In the Manual is an example how to write the citation in the text:

R. J. Sternberg (1985), S. Sternberg (1969)

However, Citavi always puts the initials behind the last name like: Goodman, R. (1997)

I think that is not in accordance with the DGPs guidlines. Does anyone have an idea what I could do to change it?

Dear Deborah,

Thank you for your message.

Could you please first check if all author names have been entered correctly?

Therefore, please choose Lists > Persons and organizations.

Please also make sure that you have selected the style in your Word document (and not just in Citavi).

Kind regards,
