How come so many references are created without the Author being populated?
Need Answer
I save to Citavi a lot from the web and one of my pet peeves is seeing references in the reference list with a - instead of the info. But so many fields it populates fine, yet most of the Author fields stay empty. Why is this and can anything be done to make Citavi populate this field with the company or website name or some name that's obviously on the page being referenced. Thanks!

It's mostly for web pages, not articles, that I add which don't have names. Is there a way that Citavi could automatically add names like for this:
And for pages that don't have an "author" is there a way for Citavi to add the name of the site to Author field instead of putting it as - after in the title field?

I was mostly showing all those references having nothing in the author field, and was wondering if there is a way that Citavi can put an author in those from websites even if it is the website's name, like SkillRise in the author field instead of | Skillrise or 4Tests.com - in the Title field.

Citavi searches the source code of the websites for metadata.
For the website https://skillrise.org/article/digital-learning-mindset the Picker imports the title information as provided by the website:
<title>The Digital Learning Mindset | SkillRise</title>
As there is no author tag available, the Picker cannot recognize "Skillrise" or "Joey Lehrman" as author of the website.
Please copy and paste the information from the Title field to the Organization or Author field.

We have published an update for the Citavi Picker which will be installed automatically in Chrome and Firefox.
With the update, the import from the NPR.org website was improved.
