Best way to organize "thoughts"? And how to link to references?
Need Answer
In general, what is the best way to organize "thoughts" in Citavi and make sure the "thought" note is not lost?
More specifically, earlier today I was writing down a "thought", but then halfway through I realized I wanted to mention a paper; what is the best way to do so? Should I just copy the body of the "thought" and create a comment linked to the paper? Or should I go to the paper reference, copy the title and paste it in the "thought" note?
Dear Serena,
Thank you very much for your question.
You could organize your thoughts together with your other knowledge items in categories or groups.
There is currently no option to link several knowledge items or thoughts.
To make sure that the reference of the paper is inserted as field later in Word (and that you don't have to type the reference manually in the thought), I'd recommend creating a red highlight in the paper.
You could use the same core statement for both your thought and the red highlight knowledge item.
Kind regards
Jana
