Alphabetize sub-categories

I see there is a way to hide category numbers, but I was wondering if it would be feasible to add a the ability to also order categories and subcategories alphabetically?

And then maybe re-assign category and sub-category numbers once re-ordered?

Or, allow the category numbers to stay and just provide the alphabetizing as another means of organization?

Dear Violeta

In the attachment you'll find a macro, that will sort the category specified in line 24.

Please create a project copy before running the macro as the changes made are irreversible.

I'll add the macro to the official repository soon.

Best regards

Sebastian

I made a blank project and I imported categories from my local project. I can't upload the whole project since is very big.

Thanks for your support!

Hi, Patrick

I could run the macro without any problems on your project. Please make sure to specify the name of the category in line 24 of the macro. With

string categoryToSort = "Tematică";

all 31 categories under category one are sorted alphabetically.

Best regards

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Yes is working. I didn't know that I have to change that line, or maybe I didn't read the whole instructions for the macro. Sorry for bothering you with minor issues.

Thanks again!
