Deleting a reference by mistake, restoring it is not working...

Dear Citavi Team!
I deleted an important reference by mistake, now I restored it over: file --> this project --> Recycle Bin. It still does not show up in my libary and is no longer visible in my recycle bin.
Do I need to go to another step to get my reference back or is it now just lost?
