Adobe Citavi Picker randomly disappears/appears

As the title says: the Citavi Picker menu on Adobe Acrobat appears and disappears randomly. I could not discover a pattern - opening Citavi first or Adobe first, opening Adobe before opening a file etc.
Any help/ideas will be much appreciated.
