Number of imported references does not equal references in RIS File

Hello,

currently I am trying to import an RIS Export of a Scopus Search into Citavi 6. Everytime I import the file, instead of 532 references Citavi imports 648 references. I figured out that Citavi seems to import extra references using the JO Tag as a title. I am wondering why this is the case? I also tried an RIS export from IEEE Explore. There the same issue occured. Has anyone an idea how to solve this?

Thanks!

Hi, Jonas,

Citavi's data model works with "independent" and "dependent" publications, e.g. a conference proceedings volume contains individual contributions by different authors in this volume. These contributions can't stand on their own in the Citavi project, they need the proceedigs volume. If your RIS file contains such contributions Citavi will automatically create the corresponding volume upon import.
