Unexpected spaces before all in-text references in word

The in-text references are inserted as textbox-forms in word, but there's a space before every textbox. How to remove the spaces?

In order to determine the cause of the problem, we kindly ask you to send us a sample document (max. 3 pages). First, please link a new Word document to your Citavi project, and second, please insert via the Word Add-In only those references which have given you problems.

If you are using a self-created citation style, we kindly ask you to send us this file, too. You can find the corresponding file in your Documents folder under \Citavi 5\Custom Citation Styles (for Citavi 5) or \Citavi 6\Custom Citation Styles (for Citavi 6).

Thanks a lot. I've sent the .docx file as well as my project .ct6 file to your team. In fact, the space is okay in most European languages since there should be one, but it's unnecessary in most Asian languages which have no text segmentation in their written system, such as Chinese and Japanese. Therefore, I hope to have a choice to remove the spaces, which is VERY FRUSTRATING in those languages. Thanks again.

We looked into this matter rather deeply, but are very sorry that there is no short-term solution to this issue. Those spaces are inserted by the Citavi Word Add-In and are not controlled by the selected citation style. We've filed an issue in our system to improve the handling of citation insertion in non-Latin writing systems for Citavi 7.
