Export results do not adhere to selected citation style

I've created my citation style based on the default. When I export to BiBTeX, it doesn't use it, although in the application itself the preview is shown correctly. For example, for internet documents, I want Authors to show abbreviated first names. In the preview it's abbreviated, but in the exported BiBTeX it's not.

Hi Andrey

LaTeX uses its own citation style engine unrelated to Citavi, so Citavi citation styles have no effect on your LaTeX documents. Please refer to this section in our manual for more details.

Are those citation styles just for preview purposes? I thought that author names will be rendered abbreviated in the .bibtex itself, regardless of the bibliography style enabled in the LaTeX.

Hi Andrey,

the Citavi Citation Styles are for use with the Citavi Word Add-In or creating Lists of References from within Citavi. Author names will be exported to the bib file as entered in Citavi. It's usually preferable to use full first names as abbreviations can be handled by bib(la)tex,
