Formula in Citavi6

Need Answer

I have read this article https://www1.citavi.com/sub/manual6/en/index.html?changed_features.html. I know that Citavi 6 is not supporting formula in the annotation now. But I tried the old way as in Citavi 5 and found I can paste formula as a picture from Word. However, some formulas work properly and some don't. How do I fix this?

Hello,

Yes, unfortunately we had to remove the formula editor in Citavi 6.

Maybe you could try to create a PDF-file from your Word document containing the formula and attach it to the reference in your project:

https://www1.citavi.com/sub/manual6/en/index.html?linking_files_to_references.html

Afterwards, you might create an image quotation from the PDF via Citavi, to keep the exact display of the formula:

https://www1.citavi.com/sub/manual6/en/index.html?using_image_quotations.html

I am sorry that I can not offer a better solution.

Best regards,

Anne

Hello,

It is common and important for science and engineering students or researchers to have formula editors, or to edit chemical equations, or other more complex symbolic representations. These are deleted in Citavi 6. Will you consider re-supporting them in Citavi 7 or in the future? ( Or can it be supported in the form of third-party plug-ins? )

Best regards,

Hello Zi,

I have added your wish to our internal wish-list. We have received this request from other users as well. Unfortunately, we can not yet say if and when it will be possible to offer support for this (again).

Best regards,

Anne
