Citavi has frozen while using Picker

I am sorry that Citavi froze.

Please use the task manager to stop the software in case it is still frozen.

As we could not reproduce the issue with Edge and Wikipedia, could you please give us more details?

1) Which Wikipedia entry did you try to import? Please send us a link.

2) Can you please tell me the version number of the Edge picker? You can see it in the Edge add-on management: edge://extensions/

3) Could you please let me know the version of Citavi you’re using? The four-digit version number of the Citavi version you have installed can be found in the "Help" > "About Citavi" menu or in the left lower corner on your Citavi Welcome screen.

Citavi just froze again using Picker. For your information, when Citavi freezes after attempting to use Picker, it also prevents me from starting Microsoft Word. Word attempts to start, but then stalls at the “Processing” stage.

Please note the first entry in the search results which is a description of the Book “Science-Based Dating in Archaeology.” Note the ISBN numbers in the description that also have Picker symbols next to them. I clicked on one of the symbols to load the book into my Citavi project as a reference, and Citavi then promptly froze up.

Could you please select "Current desktop project" in the Picker panel? Do you still experience crashes when you click the Picker icon again?

“Current desktop project” was already picked. It’s the default, I believe.

I’ve used Picker a couple of times since I last emailed you (using it to upload ISBN numbers to Citavi as new references) and it’s worked fine. It has caused Citavi to freeze only the two times I described, and it happened when I was doing something unusual, i.e., trying to load a Wikipedia page as a reference and clicking on a Picker symbol within a google search result. But who knows?
