C406 error - Project could not be saved

I have been receiving this error since yesterday. I was advised by a Citavi customer service rep that the problem is with the Citavi servers and would be fixed within 12 hours. However, the problem still exists 12 hours later with no further updates from Customer Service.

In addition, I am unable to back up my project locally. When I try, I receive a message that attachments are unavailable or something like that. I have reached out to Customer Service but have received no reply.

These problems are of great concern since I have months and months of research invested into Citavi.

Another day and still no word from Sebastian or anyone else from Citavi support.

I understand your response, Jana. However, I've only received one additional response from Sebastian. It was yesterday morning and his response was to download Citavi 6.6 which would fix the problem. I did that, but it did not fix the problem. I've not heard anything more from Sebastian despite several attempts to reach him. I'm not sure what to do. I'm afraid to use Citavi in the meantime out of concern that any changes I make may be lost.

I could see that you have received our answers in the meantime.

Please note that we answer all our requests in chronological order. With every reply to a ticket, your request is "newer" and therefore appears at the end of the list of requests of our support team again.

The error you had to experience should be fixed with the upcoming beta version.


Could you please keep an eye on the "News" section on the Citavi Welcome Screen? There you will see a message whenever a new beta version or update has been released.
