Preserving formatting when pasting text

When you paste text into a quotation, thought, abstract, or table of contents in Citavi, you can paste it in two ways:

  • As plain text: Edit > Paste (Ctrl+V)
  • As text with formatting: Edit > Paste with formatting (Ctrl+Shift+V)

Some other keyboard shortcuts you might find useful:

  • If you pasted text with formatting, and later want to remove the formatting, place the insertion point in the text box and then press Ctrl+Space.
  • When you copy text from a PDF file, there is often a return after each line. To remove the excess returns, place the insertion point in the text box and press Ctrl+Shift+Space.
