Move to new datacenters in May 2019
If you save Citavi projects online in the Citavi Cloud, it’s important for you to know that we will soon be moving your cloud projects to another server.
Your cloud projects are currently saved and processed in Microsoft Azure Germany datacenters. T-Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, serves as data trustee. Microsoft has unfortunately stopped development of the Azure Germany datacenters, which means that we will now need to switch to other Azure datacenters in Northern, Western, and Central Europe.
What does this mean for you?
Beginning on May 1, 2019, we will gradually migrate existing cloud projects to the new servers. While your project is being moved, the synchronization between your local project copy and your cloud project will be interrupted for a few minutes. Since you can continue working with your local project copy, you should not notice the migration at all. We will not inform you of the exact date and time of the move, since it will be over so quickly and should not impact your work.
If you do not want your cloud projects to be moved, please save them as local projects prior to May 1, 2019 as described here: https://www.citavi.com/converting-cloud-projects
